    it is completely possible to develop a rash to penicillin even if you have taken it hundreds of times make sure you never take it again it is one of the most common medications to cause this type of reaction if you have a hard time breathing or your tongue swells go immediately to the ER. a localized rash like this is called a fixed drug eruption and should be taken seriously. you are doing everything you can to help the rash except sometimes cold compresses help
